Oftentimes we go on a trip and come back feeling uninspired and just as stressed as before. The reason for that is the lack of planning the trip well and focusing on things that are not essential for having a good experience. Here are five tips that will help you get the maximum benefit out of every trip you make and come back home feeling fulfilled and happy.
Always focus on having time for yourself (and your loved ones) When you are on our trip always focus on having a good time and spending some quality time with your love to answer if they are with you. Forget everything about work and job stress or your business back home. Everything can wait and will be there when you get back home after the trip so there is no point in fussing over it when you are on a trip. That is the quickest way of wasting your valuable time that won't come back anytime soon. Plan to be away from the crowds Another reason that adds to the feeling of being stressed even after completing a road trip is because you found yourself in the middle of a huge crowd jostling for the same space and popular attractions which makes it very stressful. Even if you happen to get a glimpse of the mountain peak (or whatever you were after) you don't feel gratified. A good way to ensure that you have a good time with your family during the trip is to plan a destination that is not a huge crowd puller so that you can have a little bit of quiet and peace. Take a lot of photos and videos, but be in the moment too! We want just you if you also have the habit of stuck behind your mobile phone snapping pictures of tourist destinations when you are on a tour. This is one of the key reasons why people come back home and still feel like you never left! While you must take a lot of photographs and videos for posterity it is very important that you stay present in the moment and take in the vistas and scenarios with your own eyes. Make it a rule of snapping just 3 or 4 photographs and then putting your mobile phone away full stop this way you will have more time to actually enjoy the place rather than worrying about getting the perfect shot for instagram! Plan for extra expenses so that you don’t have to cut corners The last thing you want on a trip is money worries. Do your research well and plan for all financial expenses that you anticipate and the destination. As a general rule of thumb, it is a good idea to have at least 30% of the traveling budget as an additional emergency fund that you can use in case you have to spend a little more than you planned for. Don't worry too much about how much money you have spent because that will only add to the stress. Having said that, don't give away extra money because tourist spots are notorious for charging extra for even simple things like water or noodles. Make safety the first priority Take good care of your personal safety as well as that of your luggage and baggage. Becoming the victim of a theft can completely ruin your experience. Even worse is the experience of being in an accident, especially if you are riding a motorcycle. Always be sure to invest in a good quality branded motorcycle helmet and other riding safety gear which you must use at all times even if you are reading short distances. Stay aware of everything that is happening around you and be cognizant of other people on the road to ensure that you never end up paying the price of someone else's idiocy.

Breaks are your best friends Don't be afraid of taking breaks in between your rights. Planned well, breaks can help you catch your breath as well as rejuvenate yourself for the next scratch off the road ahead. Make it a point to stop at every 200 to 300 kilometers or even earlier if you are above the age of 40, and take a break of 10 to 15 minutes during which you can drink a little water, splash some cool water on your eyes and even have a cup of coffee or tea to give yourself a jolt of energy. Have a pillion rider (or another biker) with you Many long-distance riders prefer the experience of being alone on the roads, while others get easily bored when they are riding alone. If you count yourself in the second category, have someone accompany you on the ride. Perhaps your girlfriend or spouse may be willing to go with you on the trip, which is a great way of having someone to share your experiences with. In case you don't have a relative you can always look for another riding partner in online forums and biker communities. Plan shorter distances An ideal stretch of distance for 1 days what of writing is about 500 kilometers at most and that too when you have the right machine to support your goals. If you are riding a motorcycle below 350 cc you can plan for shorter daily goals which will be comfortable for both you and the machine. Depending on the overall distance you are planning to cover, break up the journey in as many parts as you want based on the time you have to cover the distance and be back at the origin point. If you are not sure how much you can ride at one go, start with about 300 kilometers for a day's ride and evaluate your situation at the end of the day. If you think it's possible to carry on with another 100 or 200 kilometers more try it the next day. Every rider is different and the distance one person can cover in a day can vary with age and riding experience. Tune the suspension Before setting out on a road trip on your motorcycle take the bike to an authorized servicing center and have it looked into for all mechanical performance aspects. While you are at it, ask the mechanic to fine-tune the suspension for comfort so that you can stay on the bike longer without feeling the jolts of the road travelling through the spine which is very uncomfortable and fatiguing. Invest in a comfortable helmet A key aspect which ensures comfort while riding on a two-wheeler is the presence of a good quality branded motorcycle helmet with good air ventilation system and soft inner linings and paddings to keep your face and head comfortable even after long hours of wearing it. Most modern helmets come with all the necessary comfort features so you won't go wrong with any option you pick. If you have been using the same old helmet for several years now, it's time you upgraded to a new one. Get highway riding foot-pegs When you are able to stretch your legs out in front of you the riding position becomes a lot more comfortable instantly! That is why you might have seen many people putting their legs up on the guards especially when they are riding long distances. There is a more elegant way of doing the same thing. Invest in a pair of highway riding foot pegs or footboards which will give you ample space to stretch out your legs and prevent the thigh muscles from cramping up. That way you will be able to cover more distance without even noticing! Get a powerful motorcycle Last but definitely not least, a sure shot way of covering more distances without feeling fatigued is to have a powerful motorcycle. Like we mentioned earlier, if you have a small capacity motorcycle, plan your daily goals less than 300 kilometers per day. But if you have an 800cc or 900cc motorcycle, you can easily cover great distances without stressing the machine or yourself. A higher capacity motorcycle will definitely be a little more expensive when it comes to fuel mileage, but at cruising speeds these motorcycles are quite economical. If you don't own a high-capacity motorcycle yourself, you can easily rent one for the trip.
